Back at Vache de Blues 2011

2011 marked the eleventh 11 year that the “Vache de Blues” Blues festival has been taking place in or around Audun le Tiche (France, very close to luxembourg). The festival is the result of a group of friends with a strong desire to pay tribute to some of their close friends who have gone too soon.

The result is an extremely human, friendly & cosy festival, where you have time to meet people while listening to world class open minded blues music acts that feed the audience with banana like smiles, swing, joy, pain & love for 3 days.
You can read more (in french) about it all on the festival’s website here:

This year, I have had the pleasure to contribute my part to the festival by covering 3 fantastic days of music (with the help of my friend photographer Herve Hannewald) that gathered big guns like Big Jay McNeely, Guy Forsyth & band, Boney fields & the bone’s project, Rick Estrin & the Nightcats & so many more! (NB: apologies to “Carboy of blues” & “Cooking on gas” as I did miss their gigs).

Voila Folks, there you go below, with a first video on the artists who performed at Vache de Blues 2011 and a second video depicting the lovely people known as Vache de Bluesiens et Vache de bluesiennes.
